I absolutely loveee doing gradient manis. They look difficult but they're actually super easy! I will post a tutorial in the future, but here is the mani I just did tonight. I used Cotton Candy from Avon as the base, then used it with What's With The Cattitude(OPI) to do the gradient. This is topped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dry No Chip Topcoat. I'm so happy with how this color combo turned out!

First Julep Maven Box!
I got my first Julep Maven box today! I got the It Girl box and I actually really love all the colors and the glitter pots!
The first color I swatched was Daphne, a jade creme polish. The Julep site says its a seafoam green, but i would call it more of a jade color. Its gorgeous! This is two coats, but if I were to wear it for a bit, I would definitely wear it in more than two coats, just so it is totally opaque.
The next color I tried out was Otte. Its kind of a mustard/brownish creme. Totally opaque in 2 coats which is always great. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I do. I don't have many neutral colors in my collection so stumbling upon this gem is great! This polish is part of the Trina Turk Fall 2012 collection.
The last color I tried(and am currently wearing) is Delaunay. Its a bright red creme and I love it!! It is hands down the brightest red polish I have ever seen/own. Its pretty much totally opaque in 2 coats. You can never go wrong with red polish! This is also part of the Trina Turk Fall 2012 collection.
And this is what is what I'm wearing right now! I left on Delaunay but added the pink glitter for an accent nail.
Coterie Butter London Deal
A little while ago, Coterie had a great deal on Butter London polish: 3 polishes+1 topcoat for $11. Realizing what a fantastic deal it was(as one polish is $14)I instantly purchased it.
The package came really quick and having never tried Butter London Polish before, I was excited to try them out! ^.^
The first mani I did with the polish was this one. I put the matte topcoat over Pillar Box Red. I painted my ring finger and thumb with West End Wonderland and did a french type thing, painting the tips with Pillar Box Red and applying the matte just over the red.
Afterwards, I put on Bluey and well...to be completely honest, I'm not a huge fan of this color. I have worn it in other things and I have liked how it came out, but by itself im not to crazy bout it. Maybe if i had some crazy awesome stamp to put over it, I may like it better. But as of right now, not too crazy bout it.
My Ever Growing Nail Stash
Ever since I was little, I loved doing my nails. Only recently have I gotten super into it, doing all different designs and buying new colors.
Here's a little peek at the different stages:
Stage 1: The Bag To Buckets
Here's a little peek at the different stages:
Stage 1: The Bag To Buckets
I had a bag full of polish for the longest time. It was seriously so disorganized and I could never find the polish that I wanted. I found these two lil buckets at Stop & Shop and organized them by brand, and then threw in the various pens and toothpicks i used to do nail art.
I ran outta room in the buckets so I found this big plastic container with a lid. I moved the polish to there, organizing it by brand and put all my dotting tools and brushes into a cup.
This is my container at the moment. It is completely filled and i have a lot of other polish in one of the buckets, almost overflowing. I'm thinking about putting up shelves but I just have to find the time to build them.
And there you have it, my constantly expanding nail stash!
