Polish Addict - Pretty Little Glitters

Wadduppppppp Chillin with the King Of Hell, no big deal xD (supernatural addict over here) lol

I got an awesome polish for you guys today! Its my first Polish Addict polish in AGESSSS and I got it from my last nail mail swap with my girl Jess! She's the bomb dot com!

This is Pretty Little Glitters from Polish Addict. This polish has a cream colored shimmery base with a bunch of different shaped glitters in blue, silver, and fushia.

I paired this polish with Lime Crime's Milky Way. I love how Pretty Little Glitters looks paired with Milky Way. The glitters in the polish really go well with the cream colored polish.  The fomula of this polish was really nice.  Sometimes polishes with colored bases have a really thick formula that takes forever to dry, but not this one! I like it alot

Hope you all like it too!

NOPI Kourt Is Red-y For A Pedi

Goooooooooooood Morninggggggggggggggggg

image

Everyone needs to start their day off with a shirtless Jared Padalecki xD what. a. babe. Red Hot Loveeeeeeeeeee xD

Speaking of red hot love, I've got a red hot nail polish for you today! It's from NOPI's Kardashian Holiday themed line. Its called Kourt Is Red-y For A Pedi.

This polish is an orange-y red creme, but its almost, ALMOST a jelly polish. This is two coats. There's a bit of Visible Nail Line (VNL) but I guarentee if I had done one more coat it woulda been full coverage.

I added a bit of pink to brighten up this mani! I used OPI's Chic From Ears To Tail for some super cute polka dots! I love the combo of these polishes together!

Liquid Sky Lacquer - Ocean Dream

Hello lovelies!

image

How are you guys doin today? I'm enjoying my last few days of summer vacation before school starts!

I've got a goodie for you guys today! I got this one from the last nail mail I did with my girl Jess!

I started off with OPI's Sandy Hook Green.  This is a special polish OPI made for the tragedy that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary back in December.  I live 2 towns over from Newtown so the whole event hit close to home.  This polish wasn't for sale and it was only available at a local nail salon. This picture makes it look olive green but its really a bright green in real life.

I topped it with Liquid Sky Lacquer's Ocean Dream. Ocean Dream has a slight green base with small silver hex, teal medium hex, light blue square glitter, and light green large green hex.

Anddddd here's the finished product! I love the combo of Ocean Dream with Sandy Hook Green. The only thing I woulda wanted from this polish is more glitter. The formula was really nice and its dry time was pretty good too.

Hope you guys like this polish!

Julep's August It Girl Box

Good day to you lovely followers!

image

Lets take a moment to appreciate the gorgeousness that is Jensen Ackles

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :)

ok, well then, I've got a few polishes to show to you today. I bring you Julep's August It Girl Box. I've skipped the past few month's Julep Maven Box's because of a combination of insufficient funds and also not interested in the polish.  Buuuuut I was on vacation when the months box was announced and i totally forgot about it. I got the It Girl box because thats the one I usually get. It came with flowerseeds and the three polishes.

This is Fiore.  Fiore is an expresso brown creme polish. The formula for this polish was nice, a little dark for my taste but I think it could be good paired with a nice glitter topper or in the winter for a nice warm mani.

This is Nellie. Nellie is a pink fushia creme. I actually really really liked this polish! I usually stray away from bright or dark pinks. But this one is gorgeous! I love how it looks, even on my pale skin lol I feel like it would be super nice in a pedicure, maybe even with some white polkadots :)

And last but not least, this is Marjorie. Marjorie is a citrus orange frost polish. I LOVE this one. So so pretty and shimmery and full of gorgeousness. You can sorta see the shimmery goodness in the top of the bottle, and a bit on the nails itself.

I decided to do a bit of nail art with my August It Girl Box polishes. I used Marjorie for the base, Fiore as the stems of the flowers, Nellie for the flowers and for the polka dots and i used a bit of Abbie(from the April It Girl box) for the center of the flower. Its topped with Seche Vite.

Hope ya'll have a good day!

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Prototype Polish

Hi everyone!!

How ya'll doin today? I'm doing great!

I'm on polish 3 of my Pop Culture Cosmetics mystery bag. This ones super cool. Its a prototype polish, something that hasn't been out in the PCC store yet!

This polish has a sparkly purple jelly base with medium squares, small squares, medium hex and mini hex glitters in pink, yellow, teal, and and purple. Theres also large black hex and micro hex in black.

I paired this polish with Wet N Wild's On A Trip. I loveeee the color combination of the glitter, and when its paired with purple undies. The formula of this polish was so beautiful and all the glitter went on nice and smooth. Dry time was AMAZING. Fastest out of the other Pop Culture Cosmetics polishes that I have tried.

Hope you guys have a good day!

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Beauty

Good morning lovelies!

Have I got a great polish for you guys today! Its polish number two from the Pop Culture Cosmetics Mystery Box!

This is Beauty. Beauty has a super super light blue almost white jelly base. It has little squares, medium hex and mini hex in baby blue, light pink and pale green. This polish is sooo pretty. It's girly in a subtle way. Which is PERFECT for me because I'm not too girly at alllllllll.

The glitter was spread evenly throughout the polish. What I liked about this polish is that there was enough glitter in this polish to only need one coat. It went on so smoothly, the formula was BEAUTIFUL.

I wore Pop Culture Cosmetics - Beauty over Sally Hansen's Breezy Blue. I think it paired super nicely with this polish. Again, its subtly girly and I love it!

This polish would also be good for a baby shower, because of all the colors! That's the thought that popped into my mind today when I was taking pictures of this polish lol ^.^

Hope you are all having a good day!

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Valley Girl Swatches

A little while ago, Pop Culture Cosmetics was offering a mystery box! I hadn't owned any PCC polishes before but going through their Etsy site, I saw lotsa pretty polishes! Sooo I ordered it!

I love mystery boxes. I really do. I love not knowing whats inside. Of course, the suspense of not knowing what you're getting while you're tracking your package is torture, buuuuuuuut it makes opening it up that much more exciting!

This is basically how it goes when i order a mystery box:
Order box
Get "marked as shipped" email
Immediately check tracking
Check tracking every 2-4 hours until it arrives
When it says "out for delivery" check mailbox every 10-15 minutes
When the mailtruck comes, run outside to get package

I'm basically like a small child on Christmas morning when I'm expecting nail mail to come lol xD

Anywayyyyy here are the goodies that came in my mystery bag from Pop Culture Cosmetics:
Polishes from Left to Right
Beauty, Prototype, Evil Queen, Fairy Tales, Valley Girl

The first polish I bring to you today is Valley Girl. Valley Girl has an orange tinted base with medium blue and light green hex and mini hex in white pink and yellow.

The glitter sat quite well in the base. There really wasn't much sinkage at all and when I pulled the brush out of the bottle to use, I didn't have to fish for glitters.  The formula of this was nice, not too thick. The dry time was good too, I didn't have to wait too long to put a topcoat on.

Here is my swatch of Pop Culture Cosmetics' Valley Girl. Its shown here as one coat over OPI - Atomic Orange*, then topped with NYC Quick Dry Topcoat.

** side note about OPI - Atomic Orange; this polish stained my nails a bit, leaving them an orange tint. It also stained my cuticles as I was removing the polish from my fingers. Hoping the staining isnt too bad if this polish is left on for more than a day(I'm currently wearing it on my toes). **

Hare Polish Amethystos Swatch

Hello there! Today I bring you another wonderful polish from Hare Polish!

This one is called Amethystos. It's a purple jelly base packed with silver squares, mini hex in silver pink blue and teal, and micro silver hex. This polish is AMAZING! The colors play together so nicely. The formula was so smooth and the dry time for this polish was soooo short! I did three coats in like noooo time. I really do love this polish!

But enough of me babbling, lets let the pictures speak for themselves!

As you can see, the bottle is PACKED with glitter. You can really see all the different colors and shapes in this picture!

Love love love this polish! Its super glittery and absolutely gorgeous!

Hope you all have a great day!!

Hare Polish "The Teen Queens"

Hello there!
Today I bring to you a polish from Hare Polish!
I purchased 4 polishes when Nikole had a 10% off coupon. I've always seen swatches of Hare Polish on instagram so when I saw she had a discount, I thought it would be the perfect time to buy!

I started off with one of my favorite polishes as a base, Wet N Wild Sugar Coat.

The Teen Queens is a gorgeous polish. Its packed with various teeny shaped glitters in pink and blue, and it has this super subtle blue shimmer that's incredibly hard to capture. I sort of caught it in this bottle shot.

And now, without further adieu, here are my swatches of Hare Polish's The Teen Queens

Taken at work, you're able to see the blue shimmer in the polish a bit.

Again, picture taken at work

Sunlight, while sitting in the car

Picture with flash

I absolutely LOVE this polish. The formula is fantastic and the dry time is so short! The glitter goes on smoothly and super easily and I didn't have any pieces stick up or get caught in the brush.

Hope you all like my pictures. I'll be posting the rest of the polishes I received soon!

xo, Victoria

I AM BACK

GUYS!

I'm sorry I have totally been MIA on this blog, I have just been so crazed with life and whatnot.
BUT I'M BACK!

That being said, here is the mani I created for the first few days of my vacation!

I'm at the Cape right now and I thought a nice bright blue mani would be perfect! I used NOPI "Baby" Blue from the "One Less Lonely Girl" Justin Beiber collection with Leopard Lacquer Sirens Song on my ring finger and thumb.

As much as I despise Justin Beiber, this is one of my favorite blue nail polishes. The formula is perfection and the color is gorgeousssssssssssssss.

Leopard Lacquer Sirens Song is one of the first polishes I ever created! This is a glitter topper packed with large blue hex, small green hex and micro teal hex. It reminds me of a mermaids tail and it is available in my shop

Polish Addict Mystery Bag

Today I trekked through a blizzard, up a slippery driveway, to the mailbox to check the mail because I knew I had some goodies coming along and I hadddd to check. The trek through the blizzard was worth it, my order from Polish Addict (along with a great package from a nail mail buddy) was in there!

Recently, Polish Addict had a mystery bag deal, where you could get 5 polishes and extra goodies for $25. When I saw it on Laura's Instagram, i was like "hell yeah!!" and as soon as i got my paycheck, i ordered it!

After attempting to get the package open without breaking a nail, I unwrapped these babies!! I got Boho Turquoise, Ice Princess, Spiced Cocoa, Diamonds Are Forever, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. It also came with a yummy smelling cuticle oil, pink caviar beads, gold loose glitter, striping tape and a nail file.

This gorgeous brown is Spiced Cocoa. I'm wearing two coats on its own. It's a rich brown color with gorgeous subtle shimmer. It reminded me of a nice creamy warm cup of hot chocolate, perfect for this cold snowy day.
Next up, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. This is two coats on its own. This polish is a gold base with all sorts of gold glitters in it. I actually really liked this polish. I wasn't sure because of all the gold, when it comes to metallic colors I lean more towards silver, but this polish comes together quite nicely.
This is Boho Turquoise. Im wearing two coats of an unnamed E.L.F. polish topped with Boho Turquoise. i LOVE this polish. Its jam packed with gold, brown, copper and turquoise glitter. The bigger pieces came out pretty easy and all the glitter lay flat. This will be a perfect summer polish.
This next polish is super girlie haha This polish is called Diamonds Are Forever. Shown here is 1 coat of Diamonds Are Forever over 1 coat of OPI Casino Royal. Its jam packed full of diamonds and lots of gorgeous glitter.
After a day of swatching polish, I ended up in this beauty. I'm wearing an unnamed silver Sally Hansen polish topped with Polish Addict Ice Princess. This is really a gorgeous combo. It definitely feels like ice on my fingers, a perfect combination for this terrible blizzard.

Julep's Year End Sale Haul

Its a snow day and I'm just sitting home watching 80's movies(Breakfast Club ftw!) and I thought to myself "Hey, perfect opportunity to swatch the polishes I got from Julep's year end sale!"

I had just put my paycheck into the bank, and naturally I began scouring the internet for nail polish. Because what else am I going to do with my hard earned money??

I ended up on Julep, where I discovered their year end sale, pretty good deals that I wasn't about to pass up!

Purchases from left to right:
O Canada, Meryl,
Winter Collection 2012 which included Hilary, Kathleen, O Canada, Sharon, and Melissa,
Julep Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub,
Portia and Lucy

This stuff is MAGICAL. I tried it out like immediately after receiving the package. I usually use a scrub before shaving my legs. It gets rid of the dead skin which allows you to get a better, closer shave. It smells sooooooo good and leaves your legs smooth and yummy smelling. What I really like about this is that its not too grainy. More than once I have gotten a body scrub that was too grainy and it left my skin feeling itchy. This is normally like $18 and I believe I got it for like $8.

This is Kathleen. Its a shimmery gold/champagne color with honey colored flecks. Its gorgeoussss! I wish I had this before New Years, this would have been a perfect color for a New Years mani.

Here is Hilary over Kathleen. Hilary is mix of brown/copper micro glitter in a clear base. I like how it looks layered over the gold, not totally sure where else I would use this polish tho..

This is Lucy. It is a dark burgundy creme polish. I am fully aware at how messy it looks. I don't know why it was such a pain in the ass to apply. It was streaky and gross and gah I dunno. I feel like if I will need to try this polish again, because it definitely has potential haha

This is Meryl, an absolutely gorgeous grey creme polish. This is actually on my sisters nails because me(being the dumbass I am), accidently deleted the swatches of this lol I love this, so pretty!

Again, Meryl on my sisters nails, but this time topped with O Canada!. O Canada! is such a pretty polish. Its a shimmery base with red and iridescent glitters.

The base for this was Daphne(one of the polishes I got in my first Julep Maven package). On the pinky and ring finger is Melissa. Melissa is a sheer pearlescent polish that reflects a blue-ish color. On the middle and pointer fingers is Portia. Portia is sheer light blue base with iridescent glitter. I love how both of these polishes look over Daphne.

Last but not least, Sharon. Sharon is a dark red polish with a bit of shimmery goodness. I love this. You can never go wrong with a great red polish!

Anddddddd that is my lovely haul from Julep's Year End Sale :) woooooo
